Spanish for the clergy

Spanish for the Clergy is a full Spanish Immersion Program with a curriculum specifically tailored to the Clergy.

Our Customized material is what makes our religious Spanish language institute stand out.

Habla Cristiano textbooks for level 1, 2, & 3, were created from the Spanish Immersion School Program at Instituto San Junípero Serra in Guadalajara, Jalisco México due to the lack of material focused towards the Clergy.
The Spanish Immersion School program for Instituto San Junipero Serra was created in Guadalajara, Jalisco in 2016. This is a Summer immersion program that teaches the Clergy Spanish in a fully immersed environment in México.
Our participants come from around the world to learn Spanish and become effective in Spanish Language skills before they return home.
During the creation of our course curriculum for this program, we realized that there is not enough learning material that is tailored towards the clergy. Therefore, we decided to create and publish the missing material.

Our Spanish Program is geared towards Priests and Seminarians and available onsite, or online for remote learning.

Our main goal is to introduce the very specific topics and terminology that revolve around the religion and pastoral practice.
With this in mind, when our students have completed this program, they will have been fully immersed into the language, culture, and the necessary key terminology of the English Language, in order to communicate efficiently and effectively.

SEMINARY COURSES SEMINARY COURSES
Through the 4 basic integrated skills of language learning, our students will achieve proficiency in:
- Oral fluency
- Reading
- Writing
- Listening

In addition, we integrate grammar, vocabulary, and interactive games to reinforce the aforementioned language skills. Each unit will wrap up with a task in which the students will interact with one another to practice their newly acquired skills and additional vocabulary.

Aside from the 4 integrated skills of language learning, our program focuses on:

4. Proper pronunciation of the Spanish language in daily conversations preaching, liturgical presiding and pastoral and missionary situations

7. Reading and writing for Specific and Professional Purposes (How to write and deliver a sermon effectively)
8. Building cultural competence
9. Focus on liturgical nomenclature
10. Public speaking skills.
11. Accent Modification Program
12. Preparation for the AP Spanish Language & Culture Exam

Requirements:
No prior knowledge of the Spanish language is necessary.

Overview of the Spanish program curriculum:

1. Personal classes (one-on-one)
2. Small group classes (2-5 students)
3. Larger groups (6-8 students)
4. Face-to-face classes (we come to you)
5. Online (Skype or WebEx)
6. Blended approach learning - it combines online digital media with traditional classroom methods. It requires the physical presence of both teacher and student, with some elements of student control over time, place, path, or pace. It is more cost and time effective.
